It's ok to make mistakes, I give you the permission to do so

We all make mistakes in our life. Some are excusable by others, and some mistakes just can not be forgiven or forgotten. We have all experienced these mistakes in our adult lives, either on making the mistakes and looking for forgiveness or have been asked to be the one to do the forgiving.  What matters the most is how we handle these mistakes and I am not the first person to lecture or tell anyone how they should act and react when these incidences occur.
This has been a subject on my mind for the past week and I myself am not even sure how to handle my involvement in this topic.  Some things were said by a close family member of mine that I would never have imagined to have been said or done, but nonetheless it was done, and very hurtful. Other things occured that I need not go into detail here, but that angered me and quite frankly bothered me.
The old Shane would have taken to immediate anger and yelling, but instead I worked diligently to maintain self control so as not to escalate the situation further. I did however take my issues of anger and frustration, and hurt out in the gym even more so this past week than any other week thus far. While I was in the gym, I came across a few things that have stuck out in my mind with great severity.
I decided to push myself as hard as I could physically muster while solo lifting. What I mean by that is that I did not go as hard as I would like to, but with not having a spotter, I am not willing to put my health at risk just to obtain a number in pounds. I was able to obtain my goal of being able to bench my body weight by end of august this year. I actually exceeded my body weight, but none the less, the point is, that I did it. I put up 185 lbs. This was monumentous for me.
I have been able to maintain a 13 minute mile n half run and working more specifically on my pushups now. I can easily do the 19 that I need to do for a test, but my goal is to get to 50. Its a nice round number I think LOL.
I came up with the notion that the month of May will be geared towards high cardio, low weight training. The weight training that I do work on will be what I like to call a 90/10 split... 90% reps, 10% weight.
I am still taking the T-UP from Nutrex and haven't seen any negative side effects. That makes me very happy
What I would like to leave you the reader with is this: Enjoy life to its fullest. If it is not fulfilling, find out what you need in it and make it happen. Don't forget the small things in your life that make you want to wake up everyday. And love everyone. It is an important thing that we have control over in our lives.
